The album debuted at number nine on the Australian Albums Chart, where it has been certified platinum, and peaked at number 25 on the UK Albums Chart, largely due to the success of the debut single "Sweet Disposition", which peaked at number six on the singles chart. Often described as an indie anthem, "Sweet Disposition" is a song about the innocence of youth. Though there wasn't huge success initially, renewed interest in the song was generated after it was included in the soundtrack for the offbeat romantic comedy film 500 Days of Summer – eventually reaching number nine on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in the United States.
